Setting up your own GivingPage on CanadaHelps.org is an easy way to receive on-line donations in support of Matthew House Ottawa / Furniture Bank Ottawa!  Here’s how:

GivingPage Account Setup

  1. Visit www.canadahelps.org/givingpages
  2. Click “Create a GivingPage”
  3. Click “Register with CanadaHelps” (unless you already have an account)
  4. Complete the form and click “Continue”
  5. Click on “Create a GivingPage”

 

GivingPage Info

  1. Type of Page: Sporting Event
  2. Event and Participant Name: Ottawa Race Weekend – Team Matthew House Ottawa!
  3. Page Owner: Your name
  4. Page Heading: (Your Name) is on Team Matthew House Ottawa!
  5. Personal Message:

    6. I’m participating in the Ottawa Race Weekend on May 26-27, 2012 in support of Matthew House Ottawa/Furniture Bank Ottawa.

    MHO is about children sleeping on a bed instead of a blanket on the floor. It’s about families sitting around a table talking and laughing while having a meal instead of holding their plates on their laps. It’s about helping families and newcomers, young and old, single moms and the working poor make their shelter a home.

  7. Fundraising Goal: Set an ambitious personal goal. A thermometer will be on your GivingPage to indicate how close you are to your goal.
  8. Display Donations: Choose Yes.
  9. Donation Email Alerts:  We recommend this so you can easily keep track of your donations and thank your donors.
  10. Page Expiry Date: Set this date to June 30, 2012.
  11. Message to Charity: Donation for Ottawa Race Weekend – Team Matthew House Ottawa from (Your Name)

 

Adding Matthew House Ottawa / Furniture Bank Ottawa as Recipient Charity

  1. Charity Name, Keyword, or BN:  Enter “Matthew House Ottawa” or “822991667RR0001” (Note:  enter this information to support both Matthew House Ottawa and the Furniture Bank.)
  2. Click “Search”
  3. Click “Add” beside Matthew House Ottawa to select us
  4. Click “Finish GivingPage” to complete the set-up process
