A quick introduction...

Matthew House is a safe-haven for refugee claimants fleeing their countries who arrive at our door. Without a supportive environment to provide short-term assistance, many would be homeless and struggling to navigate the complex immigration system of a foreign country. Hundreds of refugee claimants arrive in Ottawa each year and Matthew House is here with a warm welcome.

Come join Matthew House Ottawa / Furniture Bank Ottawa for the Tamarack Homes Ottawa Race Weekend!  Walk or run with us – whether a full marathon, or as little as 2k – as we raise money to establish safe, healthy and dignified homes for those transitioning into our community.  We’re expecting to have a lot of fun – and to raise $10,000 too.
